Here we go again

Well, we haven’t posted in almost 2 weeks. Woops. There hasn’t been much to write about, but now we no longer have any  excuses because… THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS PLAYED A GAME OF BASEBALL TODAY.

And lost. 7-6 to the Detroit Tigers in the first Spring Training game of the year. They were winning heading in to the top of the ninth but Willie Collazo (who?) blew it. Willie Collazo was one of four players the Jays signed to minor league deals in mid-January. Willie, you’re cut. But maybe the hero of the game for the Jays was Chris “The Big” Lubanski, who belted a three run dinger in the bottom of the 8th to put the Jays up 6-5. He was one of those four players signed along with Collazo. Chris, you’re not cut.

I don’t really care about Spring Training to be honest. It’s fun to read the box scores to see who’s preforming but I could really care less if Jarrett Hoffpauir singles off Jay Sborz. Spring Training is kinda like watching A or AA, and who likes that? The only fun part about it is to see the real prospects in action. Real prospects like Kyle Drabek, who will get to throw a couple innings tomorrow. Rzepczynski will start things off at 1:00 p.m. eastern.

That’s all for now. Check back in tomorrow after the game and I’ll let you know what journeyman minor leaguer pissed me off.
